The heartbeat of the city is so fascinating that if it was not for the obvious access to the sea, you might think that you are somewhere in an architectural perspective like Vienna.
The best of all is that there are far fewer crowds and more tasty prices compared to the Italian names that we all have grown from ($ 5 pizza, someone?).
Trieste: Italy’s Hush-Hush Hideaway
Popular British publication Metro Just revealed this city a ‘nowhere’ that surprisingly easy to reach and can be reached even more surprisingly as soon as you start exploring the charming paved streets.
No, there is no Colosseum or leaning tower of Pisa who entered tourists; But that is all part of the draw.
Although there are quite a few Roman monuments to spread the city, but it is up to you to decide whether they are really worth a Rome dupe (I know hard, I know).
Make sure you view these 3 sites during the visit:
- Città Vecchia (only pedestrians; no cars)
- Arco di Riccardo (remains of a Roma port from 33 BC)

But don’t worry – despite resembling a living museum for history, Trieste is not a boring snoozefest that is not worth a trip to this side of Italy.

Trieste is nestled along the beautiful Adriatic Sea, where you can enjoy cheap food, bars on the beach and countless hours of catching rays in consistently beautiful beach weather until September (think in the worst case of the 80s).

Ever asked if you first want the good news or the bad news? If you are like me, I prefer that you first hit me with the disadvantages.
As such, the Adriatic Sea is notoriously rocky – but there are a few slices of paradise that you don’t have to look at.
We do not randomly change from acceleration to Orlando, but ‘Mickey Mouse Beach’ As it is known, is a true pleasure.
No, you will not find roller coasters, Disney princesses, or oversized rodents who wear a scary smile; You can find sand formations almost a spit image of Mickey’s not distinguishable ears until summer.
On the other side of Disney (unless they have made some changes that I am not aware of) is a remote, clothing-optional beach, Costa Dei Barbari. Here you will find no crowds, but the sights that you may encounter may be wondered if silent coasts are worthy of human anatomy lessons.
The most striking is, however Barcola BeachA family -friendly beach equipped with a nice playground and surrounding seafood eateries with a view of postcard blue waters.
Here come: Cheap flights and fast trains
Many travelers are not satisfied with just one European city. Heck, I jumped around 5 destinations last fall, and it is largely due to the fact that flights (and sometimes trains) are incredibly cheap!

Depending on which route you choose, you can expect a trip that takes 1 hour, 45 minutes to 3 hours, 22 minutes, but the most common ride is mentioned at 2 hours, 5 minutes on Trenitalia’s schedule for $ 19.
For the ultimate adventure, Trieste offers easy access to one of Europe’s top-coming destinations, Slovenia.
Time it right and you can add another country under your belt with even cheaper journeys across the border than if you were to come from Venice!
