When you think of swag, you likely imagine outfits by A-listers showing off the best bling, and you’d be right. But that is not all there is to it. Last week’s best dressed male celebrities proved that swag can, in fact, be sophisticated and modern. From vacationing in designer pieces to picking up awards in sleek ensembles, Black men put their best fashion foot forward with a healthy dose of dandy swag.
The Looks
Retired basketballer, Dwyane Wade attended the pre-Hall of Fame dinner party hosted for him by fashion brand FWRD in a sleek monochromatic outfit consisting of a Maison Valentino button-up shirt worn over a white FWRD tank top that clung to all the right places, and a pair of New Bottega pants. He accessorized with Versace sunglasses, a Yves Saint Laurent leather belt, and a Cartier wristwatch. He completed the streak with a pair of black Bottega Veneta leather boots that played up the entire swag of the ensemble.
Another star who drew our attention last week is Davido. The singer was spotted vacationing on a yacht wearing a Versace shirt over a pair of blue Versace shorts. In the spirit of vacation, he opted for a pair of Bottega Veneta slip-on clogs and shook things up with his signature OBO necklace, Cartier sunglasses, and a Richard Mille wristwatch. It’s a summer vacation outfit you really cannot beat.
Youthful looks also had a moment on the red carpet last week. At a Variety event honoring Young Hollywood in Los Angeles, Armani Jackson joined his peers at the event wearing a complete Prada look consisting of a jacket, pants, and black platform shoes.
