Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have special news.
The singer and founder of Fenty Beauty gave birth to her second child earlier this month, according to multiple reports. The pair have kept a low profile since late June as they prepare to welcome the latest addition to their family. They also share a one-year-old son, RZA Athelston Mayers.
Rihanna slyly announced her second pregnancy in February, at her Super Bowl Halftime Show, showing off her baby bump in a Loewe jumpsuit with a padded bustier and a red Alaïa leather jacket. She agreed to the performance shortly after RZA’s arrival: “I’m going to say yes to the Super Bowl in the middle of postpartum?” she mused to Britten Fashion in February 2023. “What the hell am I thinking? But you love such a challenge because you know what your body just did. You feel the feeling of ‘nothing is impossible’.”
Earlier this month, her Savage x Fenty line released new maternity wear. While many clothes for moms-to-be are often baggy and covering, Rihanna wanted to do something that celebrates the female form: “The new pregnancy capsule is about giving moms confidence and comfort at every stage of their journey,” she said. . “I want to remind people that you can still channel sexiness and feel good as a parent.” Fittingly, Rihanna didn’t shy away from making a fashion statement during her pregnancy: She wore a bump jumpsuit and matching bra to Pharrell Williams’ first men’s show for Louis Vuitton, and a Valentino Haute Couture silk faille dress caped in 30 giant camellia appliqués for the 2023 Met Gala.
