Do you want to know a travel secret? Summer doesn’t have to end if you know where to travel.
Fall leaves, sweater weather, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes are exciting aspects of fall. Still, there is nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy the benefits of summer a little longer.
If you want to keep wearing your flip flops and bathing suit a little longer, a trip to Aruba this fall will help you extend your summer lifestyle.
September through November is one of the best times to travel to this Caribbean island. Keep reading to learn more about the great things Aruba has to offer in the fall.
1. Enjoy perfect summer weather in autumn
Aruba is located in the southern Caribbean, below an area known as the hurricane belt, which is most prone to hurricanes.
Fortunately, Aruba avoids the strong winds and storms. Usually there is some rain, combined with sunny skies and warm temperatures between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Even though you might get a few rainy days during your trip, you still have plenty of opportunities to enjoy some of Aruba’s beautiful beaches.
Eagle Beach is a top beach that attracts many tourists. There is also Malmok Beach and Boca Catalina Cove, an excellent place for snorkeling.
2. Less crowds
September and October are the times of year when most people have gone home to go back to school and start the third quarter at work. So if you come to Aruba during these months, you don’t have to worry about crowds.

November marks the start of peak season as many international travelers avoid colder weather. But you can still enjoy some of Aruba’s natural treasures, such as Conchi, a natural pool formed by volcanic rock.
3. Lower costS
Demand for hotels is lower because autumn travel is considered low season. So when there is little demand, prices drop, allowing you to book a vacation on a budget. For a perfect home base from which to explore Aruba, be sure to check out the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino.
Skyscanner shows flights from New York to Aruba for around $200.
4. Fun activities
While there will be fewer people in Aruba in the fall, that doesn’t mean there will be less fun. In September and October there are various activities and events to keep you entertained.
There is in September Fiesta of Cunucu that will happen on September 29. It is an annual celebration that highlights Aruba’s heritage through folkloric dance and music.
October is the ideal time to go to the beaches. While you may need to be vigilant for tropical storms, Aruba has a slim chance of being hit too hard. During this month, the water is hot, around 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
Let’s say you need a break from the beach. In that case, you can visit one of Aruba’s most unique experiences: the Donkey Sanctuary.
Why are there donkeys on the island, you may ask? More than 500 years ago, donkeys were brought to the island as a means of transport. And while these smart and strong creatures were reliable at one point, their use eventually became obsolete.
Thus, the sanctuary was created to protect the existing population. Fortunately, visitors can now visit the sanctuary to pet, feed and spend time with these adorable four-legged animals.
Explore cave
Suppose you want to experience something that is not a typical tourist destination. In that case, you can go explore Quadirikiri Cave and Fountain Cave.
Aruba’s two famous caves tell the story of life centuries ago when the island was under water. During your visit, you will marvel at coral fossils and ancient petroglyphs on the walls of Fountain Cave.
Explore the island on UTVs
Utility Terrain Vehicles, or UTVs, are similar to ATVs. They are large four-wheeled vehicles that can take you over rock and dirt roads. These all-terrain vehicles allow side-by-side passengers to adventure across mountains and deserts.

And travel in the fall means fewer UTVs on the road and more room to explore.
Admire street art
If you want a quieter activity, you can head to the island’s capital, Oranjestad, where you can see colorful murals depicting Dutch colonial architecture. And if you are a big art lover, you don’t want to miss this one Aruba art fair that will happen from September 8 to 10 in San Nicholas.
