Nothing is more interesting for the fashion world than when a series of events make their way into one week, and last week was one of those. The 2023 Vogue World took place and bizarre ensembles and unique representations reigned supreme. Then the MTV VMAs and New York Fashion Week brought celebrities to the front rows and brought trends back into the spotlight. The most dynamic fashion expressions created new fads for the coming seasons.
The looks
As the cold weather season returns, the velvet trend is slowly returning to the fashion scenes. Top model, Winnie Harlow was spotted on the 2023 Vogue World carpet in a black velvet Zuhair Murad dress. The exaggerated white cape and black gloves added more oomph to the elegant number. Harlow’s look was undoubtedly one of the best displays of the evening.
Whoever said that the beautiful ones haven’t been born yet must have lived decades ago. There was so much beauty and splendor spread across the streets of NYFW, and actress Marsai Martin was on the list. The star was adorned in one of Christopher John Rogers’ matching designs for his New York Fashion Week show. The youthful dress, cinched at the waist, flowed freely into a ball-like shape and evoked royal ideas. Martin’s side-swept hairstyle and chunky earrings created a pertinent, ladylike look.
