On Tuesday evening, October 24, the creative designer went one step further when he unveiled his SS24 collection, Sartorial reverie. The collection, unveiled at Eko Hotel and Suites, VI, Lagos, attracted over 700 guests who were serenaded by 70 models who paraded in 90 outfits and told the story of ATAFO’s craftsmanship, elegance and style.
Sartorial Reverie presented a harmonious blend of classic tailoring and contemporary design elements, reflecting ATAFO’s commitment to timeless tailoring and innovative spirit. Whether it was womenswear or menswear, the consistent thread of fine craftsmanship and wearable designs underlined the SS24 collection. For example, the menswear featured formal silhouettes inspired by ATAFO’s signature designs, such as the “check” And “tradxedo,” resulting in a sophisticated yet modern range of garments suitable for life’s different occasions. At the same time, the womenswear pieces introduced a fresh, more feminine approach that combined contemporary design with traditional Nigerian style.

Unsurprisingly, the event brought together the best names from the Nigerian entertainment, media and fashion world Richard-Mofe Damijo, Aituaje ‘Waje’ Iruobe, Banky W, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Alexx Ekubo, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Shaffy Bello, IK Osakioduwa, Timi Dakolo, I Ogbonna, Prince Nelson ‘Prince’ Enwerem, Similar to Faminu, Idia Aisen, Dimma Uhm, Mimi’ Medlin boss YinaAnd Ilebaye Odinaya, among other things. As expected, the stars stood out in a varied offering that showed off everyone’s fashion sensibilities in the most impeccable way.
For example, everyone’s favorite zaddy, RMD, was right when he advocated a casual outfit in pinstripe overalls paired with wide-leg pants and white flip-flops. For accessories, the veteran actor opted for a simple cross necklace that confirmed the effortlessness of his attire. In the meantime, Eki Ogunbor decided to remind everyone present of the eternal chicness of black. The fashion designer stunned in a black oversized blazer paired with a sheer, flowy maxi skirt that showed off her beautiful legs. To add dimension to the outfit, Ogunbor cinched her waist with a tiny black belt and finished off the coordination with a pink crossbody bag.
Supported by the world’s leading single malt whisky, The Macallan, the event was a sensory delight and testament to the increasing fascination with Africa’s burgeoning fashion industry.
