This week the stars dressed for the season – Scorpio season – and showed off their most mysterious, sexy and seductive outfits. Between the dressier performance looks and prom dresses, and the casual museum fits and mirror selfies, everyone was connected by a shared trust this week. Maybe they were born with it, maybe it’s Scorpio season.
Reneé Rapp and Chappell Roan showed their souls on stage in two completely different outfits. Opting for a sporty look, Rapp wore an oversized #42 jersey T-shirt with black denim cut-offs and a black studded leather belt, which she paired with black leather boots. Roan, on the other hand, leaned into the camp of it all, wearing a purple corset (and matching arm warmers!) adorned with tassels, pearls, and swirling gold embroidery.
Staying true to her very chic personal style, Icelandic jazz singer Laufey wore a flowy white blouse and black miniskirt with tights and loafers to the Art Institute of Chicago. She added a pop of red with a woven shoulder bag, although she wasn’t the only one trying out the fall-favorite accent color. Kylie Jenner debuted the first piece from her upcoming collection, Khy, in her own leather trench coat with a pair of cherry-colored heels. Alexa Chung updated the grout outfit with a few tomato stripes on her gray sweater. Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo went all in on the hot color, sharing a BTS mirror selfie from her VMA performance in a red bra and pleated mini skirt set by Sandy Liang.
Timothée Chalamet and Chloë Sevigny both showed off some excellent button-up styling this week. Chalamet wore a white silk shirt with a few buttons left open at the top, cuffed pants, and black leather boots. Sevigny opted for a bit more color in a blue button-up, rolled up above the elbow, which she paired with black shorts and a silver watch.
Finally, we saw some beautiful, feminine whites from American Ballet Theater principal dancer Cassandra Trenary and writer Rayne Fisher-Quann. Trenary attended the company’s fall gala in a stunning Christopher John Rogers gown, complete with a sharp, strapless neckline and a dramatic overskirt that peaked from the dropped waist. Showing a more casual approach, Fisher-Quann wore a white Lirika Matoshi cut-out blouse, which she paired with ripped carpenter jeans, and a pair of white Margiela Tabi flats.
