LLast week’s celebrity fashion outfits proved that melanin comes with a good dose of fashion sensibility. From the Hollywood Reporter Beauty Dinner to the Time 100 Next Gala, Black girls came out to cook al dente. These stars presented themselves in a series of flashy ensembles that can best be described as ‘ eaten and left no crumbs.Although it wasn’t a literal cooking show, the mouthwatering looks certainly felt like one, making it harder to choose which looks topped the charts. Like Oliver Twistwe simply surrender to the desire for not one, but as many looks as possible.
The looks
Afrobeats darling Tams wore a Danielle Frankel wedding gown and conditioned it to serve haute red carpet intentions. Ethereal in nature, the silk gown featured an elongated basque waist that held layers of pleated fabrics that fell to the floor in surrender. The deep v-neckline merged with Tem’s feminine appearance in total harmony, and beautiful was a word beyond description.
Minis with ruffles and cape necklines embody every frame to life. Logan Brownings The petite silhouette paired perfectly with the purple mini Raisa Vanessa dress she wore to the Hollywood Reporter Beauty Dinner. The actress kept her face minimal, her hair sleek and her nails purple, working with her ensemble to create perfection in all its simplicity.
Rapper Eve threw out a not-so-subtle reminder that she’s that girl – just in case anyone still asked. Last week, to our delight, she rocked an elaborate top with tie detail, wide hem pants and a chic blunt cut. The look revealed her paw-tattooed chest and an icy neck piece that all flowed together in harmony. She is undoubtedly a queen and one of the best to ever do it.
