Wales Bonner has undoubtedly emerged as one of, if not the most influential contributors to the iconic Adidas Samba sneakers. Her unique approach pays tribute to the sneaker’s rich heritage while adding unexpected and sophisticated elements, such as intricate crochet details and the introduction of metallic leather. Since 2020, eight distinctive versions of the Wales Bonner Samba have hit the market, and this remarkable collection is poised to expand even further this month.
Wales’ upcoming quartet Bonner Sambas promises to introduce exciting new features, including the use of pony hair and captivating leopard print. Of these four, one has a relatively conventional design by the partnership’s standards. It consists of a combination of suede, leather and nubuck in burgundy and cream tones, complemented by a blue insole and a dark brown outsole.
The remaining three sneakers embrace the luxurious look of pony hair, with the black and white color scheme on the back having a particularly rugged appearance. A standout is the leopard print pony hair, juxtaposed with a classic rubber sole, reintroducing the signature blue lining.
While only official images of the upcoming Wales Bonner x Adidas Sambas quartet have been revealed so far and a wide release window in November, the collection is expected to range in price from $180 to $220.
The latest collection will be released at Wales Bonner on November 7, Adidasthe Confirmed app, and select sneaker stores worldwide.
