This week, the SAG-AFTRA Hollywood strikes officially ended after four months, meaning glamorous premieres and red carpet events are ready to roar again. Naturally, it didn’t take long for A-listers to step up and repeat. The best-dressed stars of the week were the ones who made a splashy return to dressing for the paparazzi, opting for formal looks that made a statement with statement finishes.
At the premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes in LondonHunter Schafer dazzled in a custom Prada look with a metallic satin gold bra top and skirt; Co-star Rachel Zegler, meanwhile, went more demure in her black lace Christian Dior dress. There was a real emphasis on texture this week: Anne Hathaway also dazzled at the CFDAs in her red Rodarte dress with floral appliqués, while Kim Kardashian opted for head-to-toe crystals in her Skims x Swarovski look.
Even the quieter ensembles of the week made an impression. For example, at the 2023 Baby2Baby Gala in LA last night, Hailey Bieber opted for a sleek black Saint Laurent dress that revolved all around the open back. At the CFDAs, Chloë Sevigny also showed off a great color – bright yellow! – made her Christopher John Rogers dress shine. Considering this week was only the first week after the strike, we can’t wait to see what other A-listers continue to wear. It’s the holidays after all, with the 2024 awards shows just around the corner.
