There may still be some pumpkins on the doorstep, but in the world of nail art, Thanksgiving is old news: Christmas has arrived. Proving that we are indeed proactive when it comes to planning our holidays, Google reported a 250 percent spike in searches for “Christmas nail art designs” in one day last week.
A simple way to ease into the holidays, no reindeer knitting required, there are tons of options when it comes to designs. To go all out and enjoy the spirit of the season, decorate your nails with small trails of tinsel or delicate snowflakes. As a base color we like warm tones, such as gingerbread and herbs. If you’re not sure whether you want to indulge in full-on kitsch, limiting the design to one nail or just the tips is a good way to stir up a little festive cheer. Candy canes, Santa hats, and mistletoe garlands are all good places to start.
