Awards including ‘Best Destination in Mexico’ at Travel Weekly’s Readers Choice Awards, ‘Best Sustainable Destination in Mexico’ at the World Travel Awards and ‘Destination with the Highest Customer Satisfaction in Mexico’ by AMAV.
Los Cabos has once again stood out as one of the best destinations in Mexico and has reached an important milestone in the tourism industry. It was mentioned on this occasion Named Best Destination in Mexico for the first time at the Readers Choice Awards. This award is in addition to the 18 awards the destination received in 2023.
Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares, director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca), emphasized that these recognitions represent an important step forward in the development of the destination as an elite tourist destination. The relevance of this achievement lies in the fact that for the first time Los Cabos has been recognized by U.S. travel agencies for its commitment to exclusivity and hospitality.
“This year has been remarkable, but the truth is that we did not expect to receive so many recognitions. This award, received this week by Travel Weekly’s Readers Choice Awards, has been presented for 22 years and has always been won by Cancun or the Riviera Maya.”
Fiturca emphasized that the joint work of the different sectors that make up the trust has been fundamental to Los Cabos’ recognition as a top destination at national and international levels. During the year the destination received several awards, such as the best sustainable destination in Mexico, the best marketing campaign for destinations worldwide and the destination with the highest customer satisfaction in Mexico
“We have received great awards for marketing campaigns and sustainability work with community product development and communications. Almost every part of the trust has received some form of recognition. So this reflects the work we are doing with the private and public sectors and the whole Fiturca team, who are working very hard to ensure that promotion takes place in the right way.”
In addition to being recognized in Travel Weekly’s Readers Choice Awards, Los Cabos was named a winner in Travel + Leisure’s 2024 50 Best Destinations list. This additional mention underlines Los Cabos’ global appeal and confirms its position as a leader in luxury tourism.
