The Los Cabos Traffic and Road Administration reported that 15 alcohol enforcement tests were conducted from January to November of this year, resulting in 162 arrests and 128 violations. These data reflect the effectiveness of these measures in preventing side effects. Given the start of the “Guadalupe – Reyes” season, the possibility is being considered to expand and strengthen these actions as the number of vehicles increases to help reduce traffic accidents.
In addition to carrying out alcohol checks at strategic times and places, The correct use of seat belts is also monitored. Collaboration with the National Guard will make it possible to carry out several actions, including the “carousel operation,” said Captain Gómez Rodríguez.
