Jezabelle Cormio’s eponymous label has quickly become one of Milan’s must-see shows during Fashion Week. Her point of view is sexy and funny, but also based on real life – or at least her real life, where she is not only a successful designer, but also a mother of a toddler. Her unique vision for the catwalk is similarly reflected in her witty winter holiday diary in which she, her boyfriend and their daughter traveled through Istanbul and the island of Koh Oha Ngan and Bangkok in Thailand. Read the message from her family vacation below:
“We first flew to Istanbul and visited it for three days. My friend Greg loves the city and was happy to show me around. Then we spent nine days on a small island called Koh Pha Ngan. It’s very lush, with beautiful beaches, delicious food, and quite a large community of Westerners who come to practice yoga and tantric healing retreats while working remotely. Some of the most interesting things to observe were the foreigners staying for short and long periods of time. Then we spent the last three days in Bangkok. Then I realized how old our Europe is. This Thai capital was exciting; both traditional and fresh, fast and slow, rich and rural. I started thinking about how I could find more opportunities to travel to Asia for work. It was a good reminder that the world is much bigger than the seven-minute walk between my flat and my office in Milan.”
