There will be at least three new internationals trajectories in 2024, said Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.

“We are making all our efforts in 2024 for additional flights to Bali, and we have already achieved this before the Chinese New Year holidays. The newly proposed flights will also make it easier than ever for Chinese tourists to visit Bali,” said Minister Uno.

The Istanbul-Bali-Istanbul flight with Turkish Airlines will now be operational three times a weekaccording to the three proposed route updates.

In addition, Shanghai-Bali-Shanghai will start on January 20, 2024.

In addition, there are currently proposals to expand Etihad’s Abu Dhabi-Bali-Abu Dhabi servicewhich is expected to start in April 2024.

“The connectivity of this number of flights can reach the most important quality tourism markets, namely Australia, America, Europe and Asia, Minister Uno said.

According to data from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, 21.4 million passengers were handled at its international and domestic terminals in 2023. This represented an increase of 71% compared to 2022.

As of December 2023, 18 domestic routes and 29 international routes, operated by 11 and 34 airlines respectively, were served by Bali Airport.

This year, As a province, Bali hopes to welcome 7 million foreign visitors, Helping Indonesia achieve its pre-pandemic travel goals. The country has set an overall target of welcoming 14 million intentional arrivals.

It is now recommended that travelers apply for their visa on arrival online before traveling to Bali.

At Bali Airport, the new car gates will be accessible to those who have applied for and approved an eVOA.

At the automatic gates, visitors only need to scan their passport; the passport is read by the scanner and each person’s identity is verified via facial recognition technology on the camera.

This will ease the arrival process. The ability to process immigration papers at the counters remains available to visitors; these counters remain open and operational during peak hours.

Even though no changes have been made yet, Minister Uno suggested last year that visa-free travel for Bali’s top foreign tourists could be reintroduced.

But it is unlikely that any significant changes to the law will be introduced in the coming weeks, given the general election on February 14.

By 2024, Bali is expected to welcome well over half a million additional visitors, so tourism infrastructure across the island is being assessed by officials.

To ensure that travelers can always reach the airport on time for their flights, leaders propose to designate a dedicated airport runway on the Mandara Toll Road.
