The singer and entrepreneur was spotted at LAX yesterday wearing a rather daring outfit. We’re especially intrigued by her choice of airplane shoes and her carry-on luggage. The former are definitely not your everyday travel sneakers. Simpson stepped up to the security desk in a pair of sky-high platform boots, featuring hiking boot-style lace-ups and a chunky lug sole. Her fellow high-fashion-at-the-airport aficionado Rihanna also likes to wear heels when she catches a flight; It’s a power move that more or less declares, “I’m getting whisked through security and flying first class (or private).” Simpson’s carry-on, meanwhile, was an oversized Balenciaga bag that could fit a laptop, a change of clothes, and perhaps Jessica Simpson’s entire shoe collection. Are enormous-perfect for those who like to overpack. Her look was completed with a sleek black overcoat and the all-important celeb travel accessory: huge sunglasses. Discrete?
