Miley Cyrus stole the spotlight with her voluminous updo and a Maison Margiela dress made entirely of gold safety pins. Doja cata three-time nominee, made a striking entrance in a sheer dress by Turkish-British designer Dilara Findikoglu.
Winning your first Grammy at the age of 22 is remarkable, and winning it in a custom Versace adds an extra layer of glamour. Tyla graced the occasion in an asymmetrical pastel green dress reminiscent of the house’s 2004 collection. The Y2K touch was evident as the fabric wrapped around her, revealing her hips, upper thighs and belly button ring – an unexpected nod to the trends of early 2000s.
Black dresses, a dominant trend on the big red carpets this year, continued to dominate at the Grammys. Janelle Monae dazzled in a black sequin Armani Privè ensemble while she was a singer Caroline Polachek opted for a vampy vintage dress by Olivier Theyskens.
On the awards front, the 2024 Grammy Awards were a powerful night for Black women in music SZA, Victoria Monet, Coco Jones, and Tyla each took home coveted awards. SZA reigned supreme, winning “Best R&B Song” for the sensual track ‘Kill Bill’ solidifying her place as a leading voice in contemporary R&B. Often recognized for her songwriting talent, Victoria Monet broke through as Best New Artist, a win that celebrates her undeniable talent both behind and in front of the microphone.

Rising star Coco Jones took home “Best R&B Performance” for her soulful ballad “IC,” she shows off her impressive vocal range and promises a bright future. And internationally, South African singer Tyla made history by taking home the first prize for ‘Best African Music Performance’ for her vibrant song “Water,” paving the way for further recognition of African artists on the world stage.
