For her performance at the 2024 Oscars, Billie Eilish opted for a look inside her wheelhouse. When the singer and her brother, Finneas O’Connell, took the stage to perform their Oscar-nominated song “What Was I Made For?” to share. Eilish decided to forego an ultra-formal dress for the ceremony and opt for casual attire instead.
Eilish wore a look from Thom Browne’s fall 2024 runway: an oversized black and white coat made of black denim ribbon tweed over a white tuxedo shirt and a fitted black, ankle-length skirt. She added a sweet, feminine touch with a pale pink ribbon tie and matching headband.
The singer also wore tweed on the red carpet earlier in the evening and spoke about the theme for her second look. She wore a black and white Chanel skirt and a miniature houndstooth bag, which she wore with a black blazer and a crisp white button-down. (She wore the Chanel look as a nod to what she wore to her first Oscar win.) One shared similarity between the two looks were her shoes: Eilish wore her precious black patent leather heels with white, calf-high socks.
This isn’t her first Thom Browne look of this awards season: For the 2024 SAG Awards, Eilish wore a black bodice and pencil skirt over a white button-down. You could say that Billie Eilish was made to carry Thom Browne.
