a
according to Urban Dictionary it means killing people “Do something and do it well.” No better word sums up last week’s style deliveries. The prints danced in unison, the trains swayed with reckless abandon, and the textures and cuts left their mark – all with a symphony of style mastery. Celebrities and their glam squad took their jobs seriously, like a recruit on their first day. Indeed, the dedication was on display in chic displays that only the stars could serve.
The streets were a bit solemn this past week as the stars recovered from the demands of Awards season. Yet there was still a reason to step outside for some fresh air without dropping the ball on fashion. It’s almost as if last week’s best-dressed celebrities swore a secret oath to maintain the clothing line for those who didn’t go out, and they did just that.
The looks
Beyonce has continued her version of cowgirl fashion. The Texas boss wore a Givenchy suit to the Oscar Gold Party and made sure we were on our feet. One thing about Bey is that she falls into a trend and makes it her own. There’s no denying that Beyoncé in her country girl era is a fashion moment worth jumping on.
Elsewhere, Tracee Ellis Ross wore an oversized Luar skirt set that rocked the internet. She paired the gray voluminous collared jacket and pleated midi skirt with yellow pumps. Further advocating for oversized fashion, Yvonne Orji was a delight during a performance by The Frankie Shop at the film premiere of Diarra from Detroit. The muted tones complemented her skin tone and hair choice. The leather pants mixed with the strappy heels and gave the jacket a cool look. While it didn’t accentuate her figure, it gave the look of being stylish on her terms.
