Being stylish is a state of mind. It transcends beyond appearance, to a knowing personality that matches the physical sartorial representation. While the fashion scenes experienced an unusual lull this past week, it wasn’t without an array of admirable pieces parading both on and off the carpet.
The stars showed up for movie premieres and a few awards shows that stood for business and recognized the themes. From keyhole cutouts to high slits, dressing to impress was an integral part of last week’s dress code.
The looks
Beyonce, for example, was on Texas roll with its now signature cowboy aesthetic. While out and about in the city of Paris, she wore her signature fedora hat with a metallic Ralph Lauren jumpsuit that was on a new level of celebrity fashion. She enhanced the look with a black tie, livened up with an emerald green brooch, a statement belt and black pumps. Indeed, the megastar continues to come up with different ways to style the classic cowgirl craze.
For one more shining moment, Zendaya wore a custom Loewe dress decorated with tennis themes to the Challengers movie premiere. When plunging necklines and high-slit dresses beckon, trust Zendaya to rise to the occasion. She complemented the look with matching eyeshadow for a touch of oomph. Talk about a serve!
In the meantime, Tiwa wanted traveled the bold color route in a sultry sleeveless dress by Lane Da Silva and custom jewelry around her neck, fingers and wrists. With a seductive play of textures and fit, the glittering offering was an interesting take on the sheer and voluminous fit trend.
