Dua Lipa is absolutely not afraid of fashion. From her Radical optimism An era defined by bondage-esque leather and hardware, to her rave bae holiday fits, the singer has proven time and time again that she isn’t afraid to lean into the unrecognizable side of her outfits. But with her most recent look, she modeled perhaps the most accessible trend of the spring 2024 runways.
Dua and her father, Dukagjin Lipa, landed at JFK Airport in New York this morning. In one look, the “Illusion” singer wore a completely incognito airport fit: a green hoodie and a navy and maroon sweater, both from the Palace Gap collaboration, and a pair of black cougars. An expert aviator, she also wore a black Y/Project quilted jacket with navy blue contrast details, which she previously wore on travel days. But the centerpiece of Dua’s already recognizable airport fit was her bag.
While not many of us can call an Hermès Birkin our personal item, Dua’s was packed with airplane essentials — from her water bottle to the slate gray claw clip attached to the handle. Overflow bags were a popular styling choice on the spring 2024 runways, from Miu Miu to Bottega Veneta.
While we can only peek at what emerges from the Grammy-winning singer’s favorite bag, we can only imagine what she has inside her. Our guess? A sheet mask for on-the-go skincare, high-quality headphones to listen to her unreleased songs, and whatever else is coming up for her Service95 book club. Plus an airplane snack or two (although we have a feeling she’s not exactly buying Chex Mix for $7 from Hudson News).
So Dua Lipa, if you’re reading this, we humbly request a luggage tour.
