Dua Lipa is counting down the days until the release of her third studio album, Radical optimism, and she does it in style. During a busy week in New York – where she was spotted hanging out with her boyfriend, actor Callum Turner – the singer showed off a striking aura manicure.

One of last year’s hottest nail trends, aura nails traditionally reflect the mood of the wearer and typically feature some sort of focal color (chosen based on the mood of the individual in question) that transitions into another outer shade. For example, red reflects a well-grounded, energetic and strong-willed personality, while green reflects someone who is sociable, caring and an excellent communicator.
Lipa’s nails feature a blue-gray spherical center, set on a vampy black shade, for a slightly spacey look. According to the aura map, blue corresponds to spiritual, free-thinking and intuitive personalities, which at the very least seems to reflect the singer’s public persona.
