“I promise everyone will be in bed by 9 o’clock,” Gwyneth Paltrow joked to an intimate group of about 40 guests at her home in Montecito, California. The junk founder, in collaboration with Loro Piana, organized a perfect evening outdoors on Friday evening, surrounded by lemon trees and the wildlife of the Californian coastline. “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Loro Piana for the first time,” Paltrow noted, adding that Loro Piana, like her own lifestyle brand, “finds beauty in creating quality, timeless pieces that are thoughtfully designed.”
Those in attendance included friends and family of Paltrow, such as husband Brad Falchuk and children Apple and Moses Martin. The arrival started at the top of the driveway, allowing for a picturesque photo opportunity, followed by a walk along a tree-lined path leading to the main lawn where cocktail hour was enjoyed.
Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Nicole Avant and Ted Sarandos, Rob and Sheryl Lowe, Whitney Wolf Herd, Brigette Romanek, Anine and Nico Bing, and others mingled, decked out in Loro Piana attire like a living, local Santa Claus The Barbara Band played acoustic music.
In keeping with Montecito’s reputation as the “American Riviera,” a fresh Italian-inspired dinner was served on elegant blue and white porcelain tableware from Loro Piana’s L’Art de la Table collection. “Gathering here in one of the most beautiful places, Montecito, felt like the perfect party,” Paltrow said. Much of the evening’s décor was Loro Piana, from the wicker baskets and pillows to the cashmere blankets: soft accents that complemented Paltrow’s tranquil garden setting.
As attendees said their goodbyes, they received a gift bag filled with luxurious goodies, including a Loro Piana scarf and an assortment of Goop beauty products. As for the time? The guests stayed seated and enjoyed themselves until well after nine.
