Surrounded by the tropical Caribbean Sea in Central America, Belize is experiencing “impressive”The growth of tourism, according to a study conducted by analysis agency ForwardKeys.
So far in 2024, the country has experienced staggering development 30 percent increase in international tourists. The number of arrivals by air has also increased by 30 percent compared to last year.
These figures represent the fastest growth rate of any destination in the Caribbean.
Data from ForwardKeys and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association shows this Belize is growing faster than major Caribbean players such as Curaçao, Aruba, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
In terms of overnight stays, the country has seen a 29.7 percent increase from January through March compared to the benchmark in 2023 and a 17.5 percent increase compared to the same time frame before the pandemic.
