As the spice island of the Caribbean, Grenada will celebrate its 50th year of independence in 2024. Classified as Level 1 – Take normal precautions According to the US Department of State, the country offers a safe destination with a relaxing atmosphere, tropical beaches and an abundance of marine life

Home to numerous mona monkeys, the green island relies on agriculture and exports of crops such as nutmeg, but is gaining popularity among international travelers. It is known for its lush forests and waterfalls and the world’s first underwater garden, the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park.

Grenada’s Underwater Sculpture Park is the first of its kind in the world and a new expansion includes five new unique installations, including a collection of 25 new sculptures titled “Coral Carnival” by Taylor. Suitable for both snorkelers and divers, the sculptural works are created using high-quality stainless steel and pH-neutral marine cement, with each design incorporating diverse habitats for marine animals to inhabit.

The lush island is being recognized for its impressive efforts to implement sustainable tourism practices. There is a growing farm-to-table movement and women leaders like Theresa Marryshow are supplying fresh, organic produce to many of Grenada’s top hotels and restaurants.
