If you come to this Catalan metropolis in June and want to discover more than just the regular tourist path, here is the mix of (cultural, festive, social, fun, art, etc.) events that you should not miss:

Feast of Sant Joan – The biggest beach party of the year!


Each region has a unique way to celebrate the summer solstice. In Barcelona they lit up the streets with bonfires, light shows and torches. There’s also a big party on Barceloneta beach – a great place to meet other visitors and expats if you’re traveling alone.


In June, the streets of Barcelona will also be full of car fans. Whether you like racing or not, come to the F1 Fan Festival for an unforgettable experience. It is held before the actual event in Plaça Catalunya and has a very packed programme, including the F1 parade, where exciting cars race down Passeig de Gracia.

Are you a digital nomad traveling around Barcelona? Come network, be inspired and have fun during this weekly meeting. It takes place on a beautiful rooftop terrace of Club 23, so you can enjoy picturesque views of the city.

Don’t like stand-up comedy? How about a good old movie theater? But it wouldn’t be Barcelona if there wasn’t a twist. This is outdoors and offers live music and a picnic.


Born Street Food Festival is another gastronomic event that takes place in June. You can enjoy fresh local products and dishes, such as cheese, wine and tapas, as well as international dishes, such as Argentinian or Japanese grill dishes.

Attention meat lovers! In June, Moll de la Fusta will turn into a carnivore’s paradise. During this weekend-long gastronomic festival, you can look forward to meat delicacies from around the world, great music, beer, cocktails and of course the beloved Spanish cava.

Show Up is a global community initiative that helps increase self-awareness. They organize different events every week, such as energetic sessions on the beach with gentle movements, cold dips and paddle boards, group training or yoga sessions at sunset. The tradition of building human towers in Catalonia dates back to the 18th century. It all started in the small town of Valls, about 40 km west of Barcelona. Here the local population started building these impressive towers. Over time, various groups known as ‘colles’ began to participate in these events, making it both a competitive sport and an art form.


Those who love stand-up simply have to see a Basemint show in Barcelona. They are held every Sunday at Mint Bar, an underground bar in the heart of the city, and are 100% English friendly. Moreover, the shows are also very budget-friendly, especially if you book in advance.


If you’re a mindfulness enthusiast looking for new ways to connect with yourself, try SUCO. This South African movement combines meditation with electronic music and helps you embrace life in the present moment.


Sónar is probably one of the most important electronic music festivals in Europe. And for good reason. In addition to a great line-up, there are enchanting audiovisual light shows, parties and lots of dancing. All this takes place in the iconic open-air location Fira Montjuïc.

Don’t expect Eggs Benedict and Mimosas at this brunch, but rather a good dose of electronic music in the beautiful outdoor setting of Parc de la Trinitat. Held regularly on Sunday afternoons during the summer months, this festival hosts many talented artists from all over the world.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is an iconic circuit and often appears on the bucket lists of all motorsport fans. Come see (and possibly meet if you upgrade your ticket) F1 drivers up close as they practice, qualifying or the race itself.

Get ready for another laugh. During this stand-up, the comedians tell their cool stories. You can share one too and vote for the best one. Where? In The Comedy Clubhouse – Barcelona’s English comedy club – so no one has to miss anything.


Barcelona has been a center for creative culture for centuries. If that is the reason you are going on holiday to this beautiful city in June, be sure to visit Passeig del Born on the last weekend of the month. artistic workshops, craft demonstrations and an exhibition of products made near Born.
