The idea of a place with dreamy Caribbean beaches where you can fly affordably without even needing a passport may sound too good to be true, but those who have done their due diligence this summer know that Puerto Rico has all that and more promises; Why else would millions of tourists flock to its sun-drenched shores every year?
Whether you’ve already been to the breathtaking island or are considering the best time to make that first trip, I have the same advice for you: missing Puerto Rico this summer would be a mistake.
Of course, you can enjoy the old-world charm of San Juan and the white-sand beaches of Culebra at any time, but the coming months will bring so much excitement, energy, and convenience to travelers that if you want to get the most out of your vacation, Puerto Rico experience, you will have to act quickly.

It has never been easier (or cheaper) to fly to Puerto Rico
Just about every airline under the sun has released new Puerto Rico routes in the past year, with Frontier being the latest.
The ultra-low-cost airline has just launched a whopping eight new routes from the US to Puerto Rico, not only expanding its range of schedules and destinations but also bringing some much-needed price competition.
Between that and the fact that JetBlue, Americanand Spirit have also introduced new Puerto Rico flights within months of each other, round-trip tickets have fallen to just over $70 this season, marking a new low.
Prices can always fluctuate, so make sure you get a good deal when you see one!
Cruise passengers also get a huge upgrade
Although most of the millions of people who visited the Caribbean hub last year traveled by plane, there’s no denying just how big of a cruise destination Puerto Rico is, and if you too have a daylong trip planned for this summer, you can you I’ll be happy to hear that you’re getting a new upgrade too.
The iconic port of San Juan is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar upgradeincluding better amenities, more highly trained staff and rock-solid schedules that make delays and mix-ups virtually impossible – your dream vacation just got a whole lot better!

Okay, so you’ve arrived in Puerto Rico, what now?
If you’re tired of the same old hotels that have nothing new or exciting to offer, you’ll be happy to know that there’s no shortage of beautiful places in the country this year, and there’s something for everyone.
Just look at the recently opened Mariott Hotel Rumbao – it promises the perfect blend of proven service techniques and modern amenities.
Hilton plans the same double its presence in Puerto Rico by 2025, so you can expect several new establishments to pop up along the island’s beautiful coastline this summer.
