Wearing finely crafted accoutrements, black stars made their way to the forefront of fashion last week. Although the red carpet was a little sparse, due to a decline in high-profile gatherings, this did not hinder the tenacity of real style. Off-duty looks were abolished, streetwear came to an end with decorated sets and exclusive events brimmed with bold representation.
The looks
Beyonce quickly appeared on the Internet and the BeyHive did not know how to act. Appearance-wise, she was a sight to behold in a draped Mugler minidress with a corseted bodice. She elevated this with ankle-strap pumps and eye-catching blonde hair. Oh, and we can’t forget the extra train that made for a perfect photo opportunity.
A nod to black and white, Naturi Naughton smartly displayed in a chic jumpsuit for her appearance on The View. The cargo look featured a gold embellishment on the waist, which matched her hair ornaments. She paired this with a white button-down shirt, black pumps and a chunky tie for good measure. Bonang Matheba also jumped on the black and white trend, but opted for a mini dress and tights for a feminine look. The two looks depicted the versatility of a black and white outfit, both in and out of season.
In the heat of summer, the streets of London seemed to defy the heat with cold glares that made you turn to Leather for refuge. So that was the case Sabrina Elba as she walked down the street in a sheer nude skirt, styled with an army green leather jacket and knee-high boots. Apart from minimalist tones that still claim superiority, skirts have reintroduced themselves in different designs.
