Sticking to the status quo is boring. Although routine plays a role in self-control, spontaneity is a valuable trait. In recent weeks, Naija’s celebrity fashion scene has been on fire with bold attacks – a deliberate turn with neatly put-together ensembles imbued with unpredictability. For example, the stars known for their usual minimal indulgence embarked on an unusual color adventure. A few stuck with the familiar, but did not hesitate to stand out. Simply put, they came bold and ready.
The shades were especially interesting. From exploring new shades to expanding the versatility of combinations, Nigerian style stars were far from ‘business as usual’. The legs were usually out, either through outright mini pieces or high-slit ensembles. Cutouts also took center stage, with no attempt at soft pedaling – from statement cutouts to subtly sexy cuts. All in all, the looks were mostly season-long picks, enough to get them pinned to any style girl’s mood board.
