Indianapolis
Perhaps surprisingly to some, Indianapolis – or Indy, as locals colloquially call it – has seen the biggest increase in flight searches this fall, up 120%.
This may be partly explained by the fact that Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour is stopping by Indiana’s capital in early November, but dressing up in dazzling costumes to belt out pop gems can’t be the only reason Americans are descending on Indy this fall.
With a downtown packed with museums, iconic buildings that preserve America’s neoclassical grandeur, including the State Capitol, and a vibrant Broad Ripple, lined with casual bars and al fresco dining options, it is one of the most underrated city trips in the country.
For the foodies among us, you should know that this is the homeland of breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches.
And if you ask us, no trip to Indianapolis is complete without stopping by St. Elmo Steakhouse to try their ‘fiery’ shrimp cocktail, just make sure you have a glass of water on hand.
Oh, let’s not forget the foliage!
Indianapolis is an absolute banger in the low season, with his picturesque, green parks a vibrant pumpkin orange and crimson red, and local cafes updating their menu to match the atmosphere – oh, before you look for the nearest Starbucks, stop by Lulu’s Cafe in the North side.

Tulum
After a 70% increase in searches this season, partly attributed to the launch of multiple flight routes from the United States, Tulum is the second trendiest fall outing.

Mallorca
With a comparable increase of 70% this year, Mallorca is the number one in Spain third most sought after destination for Americans taking some time off and heading out this season.
Maybe it’s the fact that seasonal flights depart from Newark every week, maybe it’s the irresistible lure of a Mediterranean holiday, but the Spanish island is about as popular in the fall as it has been all summer:
Whether it is the charming capital Palma, with its fortified Gothic church, the centuries-old stone villages scattered across the hilly hinterland, or the unspoilt, sandy calas that hugs the coastline, surrounded by seas of the gleaming blue, Mallorca has all the Old World charm you’re looking for, and then some.
