Even though you may be using your rake more this time of year, don’t let the falling leaves, fresh air, and everyone and their mom talking about pumpkins take away your beach dreams!

It goes without saying that some of America’s favorite beaches have been hit hard by Mother Nature lately, but there are still plenty of great getaways to satisfy your sun and sand cravings.

One is packed with fun for all ages and features some of the most beautiful scenery in the state.

I mean, how could it not when it covers 60 miles of coastline?

Charleston may have become the shining star of South Carolina, but when it comes to beach vacations, Myrtle beach is the place to be.

Despite being home to some truly underrated beach towns, Myrtle Beach keeps the whole family happy all year round, but fall is a perfect time to visit.

Planning a beach vacation can worry us when it comes to expenses, but Myrtle Beach is an exception to the rule.

While there are plenty of places to visit, whether on the West Coast, the Gulf, or other East Coast gems, resorts can be pricey!

Here in Myrtle Beach, however, you can find a wide variety of accommodations to suit your needs, whether it’s a cozy three-star boutique, a luxury resort or a wide selection of vacation rentals listed with local agencies and Airbnb.

From there the Caribbean resorts and villas for just $99 per night and sky-high luxury digs such as Anderson Ocean Club and Spa for about $150.

Local Mom & Pop restaurants aren’t worth the effort either, many of which serve fresh southern and coastal cuisine.

Dotted around the area are many fun attractions, offering family-friendly experiences at attractive prices.

For a city with less than 40,000 residents, you have to remember that this beautiful beach town is a tourist center. Use supply and demand to your advantage!

When you look at the Myrtle Beach skyline at first glance, what strikes you is its sheer size SkyWheel stand out among glitzy apartments and resorts.

If you take a ride, it will only set you back $19.99 to entertain the whole crew. Better yet, they offer ‘Sunrise’ and Sunset packages for epic views to start or end your day with beautiful views as far as the eye can see.

While there are some unexpected gems, keep in mind that Myrtle Beach is very touristy, but hey, the kids don’t know that!

Along the bustling Boardwalk you’ll find well-known attractions like Ripley’s Aquarium and Hollywood Wax Museum, but one hidden gem that stands out is the Myrtle Beach Pinball Museum, where you can tap into your inner nostalgia.

In many places people are now sitting comfortably next to the fireplace and are afraid of Gam Gam’s ‘famous’ cranberry sauce in a month’s time.

But that doesn’t have to be you!

Myrtle Beach is a perfect fall escape. In November the weather is usually still in the 70s, followed by mild winter months.

There are countless paradises to explore and other natural environments scattered throughout the area that are overlooked.

Of course, it’s hard to miss the Grand Strand, a 56-mile stretch of white-sand coastline.

To escape the crowds, head off the beaten path to places like Huntington Beach State Park for scenic walks or Pawley’s Island for fewer tourists and a beautiful “historic district” to explore.
