There is no shortage of paradise holiday destinations across Spain, ranging from cultural delights to unspoilt coastlines, and sometimes both intertwined into one amazing place.
Spanish tourism levels are so low that hidden gems are becoming increasingly difficult to discover, but far from the mainland lie the popular Canary Islands, home to countless picture-postcard beach towns to escape the stresses of life.
One such city has only existed for about forty years; developed in the 80’s and mainly visited by locals and Europeans who know about this idyllic retreat.
Located on the east coast of Lanzarote Costa Teguisean easy-to-reach holiday resort, perfect for a last-minute autumn getaway or your solution to winter sun once the cold temperatures arrive.
Volcanoes, beaches and delicious cafes: no better place to spend sunny days
Costa Teguise is packed with fun activities for all ages and every type of traveler. Family vacations, couples getaways, and solo trippers will all be great!
The weather is truly beautiful all year round, but there is no better time to take advantage of it than late autumn to late winter.
In other words, put down your PSL and start making travel plans!
Here, travelers can discover picturesque beaches regardless of the season. Better yet, the waters are warm and swimmable, as winter temperatures consistently hover around 70 degrees.
According to the Irish sun, Playa de Las Cucharas should be top of your list as it’s great for swimming, lounging in the sun and also offers ideal conditions for surfing.
But as beautiful as Playa Del Jablillo may be, some say the inviting coves of Playa Del Jablillo are more attractive to visit, with nicer waters better suited for snorkeling and diving.
Costa Teguise isn’t just a place to park your butt on a beach day, but what you should prepare for is spending most of the time outside – and who wouldn’t want that with such nice weather and picturesque streets?
The city center, especially Pueblo Marinero, is lined with delightful cafes during the day and lively bars in the evening where you can get a caffeine fix in the morning and end your day with a cheap beer (not even Guinness will stop you!).
But perhaps the most exciting excursion to spend your sunny days is visiting Timanfaya National Parkwhere you can experience Lanzarote’s towering volcanoes up close and personal (from a safe distance, of course).
Enjoy a luxurious stay: a ‘resort town’ that lives up to its name
You’ll get your dream holiday off to a great start as Costa Teguise is very easy to get to, with frequent flight connections and an even more convenient bus service into the city from Lanzarote’s César Manrique Airport, which will only cost you around $4.

According to TripAdvisorthese are the three best resorts to choose from:
- Barceló Teguise Beach (adults only)

- Hotel Siroco (adults only)
Not every traveler wants to spend where they rest their head at night, so there are plenty of boutique options as well BLUESEA Costa Bastian for just $84 in December.
More savings means more experiences, so make sure you don’t miss one of the city’s most underrated attractions, Aquapark Costa Teguise – fun for all ages!
Tapas, wine and seafood galore! Enjoy the cheap food of Costa Teguise
Spain and food go hand in hand. I mean, have you ever had a glass of red wine and paella? It doesn’t get better!
Here in Costa Teguise you can expect a variety of locally produced seafood.
A quick Google search shows that restaurants are top-notch, many with near-perfect ratings and rave reviews.
If seafood is your thing, check out El Risco, recommended by Michelin Guide as one of the best in the region.
