Big Sky’s newest resort: a first of its kind in the US
According to The Independent, summer 2025 will be groundbreaking in more ways than one for a luxury brand that Americans may not be familiar with, as it marks their first foray on American soil.
With a suitable brand for the situation, One&Only opens their one and only resort in the US. If you’re not familiar, you can find other luxury resorts in vacation icons like the Maldives, Los Cabos, and Dubai, among other bucket list getaways.
One&Only Moonlight Basins website is running for a preview of what’s to come next summer.
One of the main highlights that match the exclusivity of Montana is 19 chic cabins And 62 private homes on site, which will certainly cost a pretty penny.
Gather your friends for the trip of a lifetime, as each of the chic private homes has more than 5 bedrooms.
It may be at least another five months before the ribbon-cutting ceremony begins, but you can get a taste of the resort’s grounds by checking out the descriptive cardwith a world-class spa, ski lodge, gondola and a soon-to-be-named ‘specialty restaurant’.
Next summer there will be a variety of adventure activities in the region’s lush nature, including hiking, archery, fishing and canoeing on Ulery’s Lake, plus access to The reservea Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course that claims to be his ‘most beautiful course’ yet.

While TripAdvisor doesn’t share recommendations for rustic lodges or wooden cabins, I’ve done my own research for you (and maybe one day for myself).
There are many compliant listings on HomeAway and Airbnb, but I would choose Cowboy Heaven Cabins. What’s more Montana than that?
These homely log cabins are ‘ski-in ski-out’ with private hot tubs and comfortably sleep up to 6 people.
Just know that there’s actually no such thing as “budget stays” in Big Sky, but the pristine resort gets rave reviews saying it’s definitely worth a splurge.
