It doesn’t matter where you are in the world; One thing that every destination has in common is that you have to eat three times a day when you arrive there!
And if you are a connoisseur who likes to eat, then the quality of the food at your holiday destination is a huge sales argument.
So where do you have to go?
When it comes to choosing restaurants, the Michelin -Guide Really know what they are talking about.
They have made a list of 10 of the most exciting foodie destinations to explore in 2025.
And two of those destinations are here in the US!
Eating in Austin, Texas
Austin has recently been added to the schedule of the Michelin guide thanks to the lively and exciting food scene.
Austin is the home of 44 restaurants in Michelin.
14 of these have received Bib-Gourmands for their great value, and there are also 7 Michelin star restaurants in the city.
But what makes Austin such an exciting place to eat? It is the variety of food that makes this city so much fun to eat in!
As the Texan tradition is, you will find a lot of great BBQ joints, but if you are looking for a little more high-end, you will also find incredible fine eateries.
We love Franklin Barbeque, Who has reached icon status thanks to his beef breast, pig ribs and long lines.
And don’t miss it Leroy and Lewis Barbeque, who started Life as a food truck and has now earned a bibbourmand thanks to the epic barbecue dishes.
The herbal beef cheeks and daily sausage are certain highlights.
For something high-end, try the restaurant of the farm-to-sign Emmer & RyeThat focuses on locally produced products that are served well. The yellow -vintonian is one of the most popular dishes on the menu here.
Things to do in Austin, Texas
Because you can do nothing but eat and drink all day (believe me, I tried!), You will be happy to know that Austin is also the home of many great things to see and do.
Austin is famous for his live music scene and you can visit the Capitol building of Texas here.
Looking for a culture injection? The cathedral of Junk is just as bizarre as fascinating.
A modern installation art temple, this is a hiding place with multiple levels built from 60+ tons used furniture, home goods and, to be honest, junk! Visits are only by appointment.
And if you visit during the summer months, you will visit the municipal swimming pool of Barton Springs, which is located in Zilker Park and will be fed from Underground Springs. This beautiful swimming pool is a great place to burn all those extra calories!
Eating in Miami, Florida
Miami has a well-deserved reputation as one of America’s most exciting foodie destinations.
The city has 64 restaurants in Michelin, including 17 Bib Gourmand restaurants, 13 restaurants with one stars and a 2-star restaurant.
Miami has a really multicultural food scene, so whatever type of kitchen you are looking for, you will find it here. Visit Elcielo For Colombian food or Stubborn seed For a mix of Latin -American and Asian dishes.
There are only 32 restaurants with 2 Michelin stars throughout the US, so this is a real quality indicator. L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon Is the only two-michelin star restaurant in Miami, and it is worth a visit. Every dish is presented so beautifully that it looks like a work of art.
Another high-end restaurant that is worth creating is Torno Subito, which serves contemporary Italian dishes. If you only order one thing, make it the famous Tortellini. And you will regret that you are not staying for a tiramisu dessert.
Things to do in Miami, Florida
So what can you see and do between meals in Miami?
Well, first things, you can’t visit Miami without going to the beach.
White sand and stunning turquoise waters make this an incredible place for water sports, and the iconic neighborhood South Beach is worth a visit for its vibrant atmosphere and iconic Art Deco architecture.
South Beach is also known as Miami’s Surf Capital, so if you want to make a sweat, then this is the place to be.
If you are interested in art, don’t miss the Pérez Art Museum Miami (Pamm), an international art gallery dedicated to works from the 20th and 21st centuries.
