You can fly from the US to the destination with American Airlines, Delta and Jetblue.
Frontier has also announced that they will launch new non -stop flights to the island later this year. In April there are direct flights of four American cities. These are New York, Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte.
The cheapest airport to fly to Antigua is New York. Based on flights of April 3 – April 10, a non -stop return flight with Jetblue costs $ 307. If you prefer to fly with American Airlines, flights cost on the same route and the same dates cost $ 327.
With the cheaper Jetblue flight, this flight route has an outgoing flight time of 4 hours 16 minutes and an incoming flight time of 4 hours 38 minutes.

With 365 beaches to choose from, it should not be a surprise that one of the best things to do in Antigua and Barbuda is to explore the coastline.
Turquoise waters, sugar -soft sand and tropical palm trees mean that this is really a stereotypical island paradise.

Some of the best beaches that are not to be missed are Dickenson Bay, the most famous beach in Antigua thanks to both the white sand and the proximity of the airport. This is a great choice if you are looking for a sparkling beach lined with bars and restaurants.
If you are looking for a little more relaxed and with incredible water sports options, try the Half Moon Bay from Antigua. This beach is surrounded by coral reefs that are popular with snorkelers, while the waves in the middle of the beach are great for windsurfing.
If you stay on Barbuda, you shouldn’t miss the 17 miles of beach. What makes this beach so iconic is that the enormous vastness of sandy-floss is pink.

The beauty of this beach is reinforced by the fact that there are no facilities at all: nothing but a huge piece of beautiful pink sand. But that means you have to take everything you need (including water, snacks, beach blankets, etc.).
Cultural attractions in Antigua and Barbuda
If you are tired of the beaches and are ready to find out more about the cultural heritage of Antigua and Barbuda, go to Nelson’s Dockyard.
Nelson’s Dockyard Marina is the only continuously working Landhof of the Georgian era in the world, and therefore it is designated as a national park and a museum.
Walking around the Dockyard is free, and you can enjoy watching the many yachts that still house here.

To delve deeper into the rich heritage of the area, you can book a tour to the historic Clarence House, which overlooks the Dockyard, or take a ‘rum in the ruins’ tour with an expert guide. This tour takes place on Friday at 5 p.m. and costs $ 25 per person.
Another fascinating historical attraction is Betty’s Hope Sugar Plantation. This is the only renovated sugar mill in Antigua and gives a unique perspective in the past of the island.
As a historic monument and museum, the best way is to visit the former plantation as part of a wider island tour. Island Routes offers a ‘Discover Antigua Safari’ that combines a visit to the plantation with a trip to Pot Works Dam and the Devil’s Bridge. This Tour costs $ 154 per person.

If you hire a car, it is possible to visit the famous Devil’s Bridge independently.
This is actually not a bridge but a natural rock arch. It is surrounded by bladder holes that shoot a few feet in the air and is considered a natural miracle.
