Quiet luxury is dead. That chorus has already emerged as a powerful theme of this fashion -who started with New York Fashion Week last week. The clothes that were worn on and out of the runways suggested that, after a long -term fascination for modest clothing, people crave something more excellent.
In the midst of the usual sea of winter blacks, gray and layers outside shows, there was also a healthy amount of snake skin and animals (usually leopard) prints. The most lush versions, if not real, could easily have been seen as natural. The same could not be said for the exaggerated silhouettes of models in certain flamboyant proportioned items of clothing on the runway – for example, large, Baggy Coach pants, or a form -jacket with elongated arms.
Another sign of shifting flavors was the abundance of fur. More inevitable than in the past, the heavy presence was remarkable as many people and brands claimed an aversion to the material. Some who noticed that The Uptick saw it as motivated by more than style trends: I heard people who, at the moment to the world, perhaps wearing fur are the last thing people are worried about.
