Stacy London wants you to wear what you want.

Mrs. London, a fashion expert and entrepreneur, is best known for the show ‘What not to wear’, which she had organized together with Clinton Kelly on TLC for more than ten years. But because she is changing, so her views for style: she no longer wants people to stick to a specific set of fashion rules.

“Style is about the individual, and that is never about whether or not you participate in trends,” said Mrs. London, 55. “It’s about what you do with your raw material, your body and your self -expression.”

“What not to wear” ended in 2013, but the co-hosts worked together again for “wearing what the F you want”, which was broadcast on Prime Video. Instead of rules, it focuses on channeling inner fashion wishes. “I may not think this is the best we could have done, but did I make you happiest? Because that is the goal, and that is the shift between where we were and where we are now as a society,” said Mrs. London.

In addition to the show, Mrs. London designs clothing for women who go through the menopause for her QVC line By Stacy London. “I still like style and I still like fashion, but I wear, I wear pants. I feel more confident than I wore with a skintight pencil skirts and five-inch heels,” she said.

Mrs London moved to an apartment with three bedrooms in the Carroll Garden district in Brooklyn in 2006. It is filled with stretching with clothing, art and dinosaur trash.

“I switched off every wall, so it’s just a duplex loft without doors,” she said. “There is a huge staircase in the middle of the apartment that leads to the bedroom and the dressing room.”

Mrs. London shares her house with Dora, a ‘completely vengeful’ 8-year-old Morkie (Maltese-Yorkshire Terrier).

Sleeping mode It depends on how Saturday night was, but I can sleep anywhere from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there is just something to sleep. My bedroom is a dark little cocoon and Dora sleeps with me. I love my sheets and my mattress, and sometimes I get coffee and go back to bed and read. I have a very special plank with books on my reading list and I slowly work through it.

Find the remedy I am obsessed with Salt’s Cure’s Brunch and sitting on their patio. You can go in one of the two ways: you can do salt or sweet, or salt And sweet. I can never decide, but I usually start salt and then go sweet. The egg, the avocado and hash brown is part of my breakfast, and the gluten -free chocolate painting oatmeal trays are the second. I always have to order extra eggs because Dora is going to eat them. Yes, I am that person.

Walk out I like to walk to Dumbo, and I like to go to Brooklyn Flea. I have found incredible designer pieces there for really reasonable prices. Some things that people would not necessarily know, more than 90s designers I love, such as Romeo Gigli. Because I love Tchotchkes, it might be something like accessories or a weird small trinkets that I want to put on a shelf. If I am in Dumbo, I will also go without failure Front shopthat has vintage clothing and jewelry. Walking along the carousel is always fun for Dora. There are tons of dogs that she could possibly attack, but she also likes to be by the water.

Perfect fit I worked with my friend Suleika Jaouad, who recently went on tour. She doesn’t like shopping and she doesn’t like styling. She has a great taste, but I don’t think she trusts herself enough. So on Sunday I did fittings for her here, only in my clothes. She would rather wear things of me that she likes and she can fit and she knows.

Catch up I would like to go to Liz’s bookbarThat is a bar and a bookstore. It is a wonderful atmosphere and I will meet my friends there. They are my neighbors and we try to make a point to see each other at the weekend. I can order an ice cream, or maybe I get a bottle of rosé.

Supporting local I have been to Carroll Gardens for so long that I really viewed this area completely and completely at night. Since Covid it has been difficult to see how many small companies don’t make it, so I try to be as supportive as possible. There are two stores that I love on Court Street, Rue Saint Paul And Forest forest. When I’m in the mood for shopping, I go there.

Takeout -time There is nothing better than Han -Dynasty. I order the rice noodles with spring onions, egg and grated chicken. The noodles are greasy and they come with chili oil on the side. I think it’s spicy but not salt, so I add some salt. Then I literally eat a whole container. I am currently looking at ‘The Righteous Gemstones’, but I am a script -tv connoisseur. I see everything script.

Households What I have to do to close my Sundays is to continue all week. I will look at my agenda, coordinate with my assistant and coordinate with my housekeeper, who takes care of Dora when I travel. I am very overwhelmed by too much information, and to be honest, there is now a lot going on with the promotion of my new show. I have the best assistant in the world – she is just like my other half.

Hug My scrubbing and polishing – what I call my skin care and teeth polishing – routine can take about 40 minutes. Dora goes and sleeps in her little anti-anxiety bed and then we go down. I usually go down to bed for her and then I wait for the small Pitter pattern of her feet before I propagate the light so that she can also get up on the bed.
