Trainers have always been my go-to shoes. Of course, I put in a heel in a heel in a heel in my younger years, worn a wedge on vacation, and I will often visit a slider around the garden, but they are trainers who have my heart and sole (completely meaning!). I want comfort, I want flat, I want usability, I want versatility and I want them to look cool.
It’s not much to ask, right!?!
Since we are about to switch from spring to summer and because the weather seems to be resolved, I would like to stay away from my usual safe black -white trainer choices and branch to a more colorful palette. And it’s a perfect timing, because adidas sent me a gift voucher to use on their website (benefits to be a blogger) and when it comes to colorful trainers, they are literally the goat.
With the help of my teenage daughter, because of course she would like Lark on this free trainer, we chose 5 colorful Adidas trainers to brighten up our cupboards for the summer. And hopefully it will help you inspire more color to yours.
Handball Spezial Women’s Shoes
Last year I bought a beautiful green and pink dress, which I wore in Lake Garda in the summer, and since then I have literally been obsessed with this color combination. So much so that I used both colors in the surf for my new one Blog strategy companyI love it That a lot of. When I found a few colorful Adidas trainers in a daring and lively green and pink, it was as Destiny. They had to be mine!
Handball Spezial trainers were originally designed for indoor sports, such as handball, because they offer good traction on indoor floors. The combination of soft nubuck and suede overlays and mudguards also make them durable and lightweight, perfect for rapid changes in movements and good speed. Now this was back in the 70s, when we are honest, trainers were worn for sport and only sport. Nowadays, however, sports trainers such as Adidas Handball Spezials have evolved into more an iconic fashion statement. Especially if they are as smart as these bad guys.
Adidas has this incredible talent from combining vintage styling with a modern urban lead, while at the same time keeping the design functional and comfortable. It is what I like most about them as a brand. If you wear these trainers, ask you to be noticed. You make a very loud and spicy fashion statement. Whether they are carried casually with jeans or as a color doll wow with a monochrome dress, they are the first thing people notice about your outfit. And I am all Before that!
Grand Court Alpha -shoes
If someone had given me the choice a few years ago between a few colorful adidas trainers or a few BoxFresh white trainers, the white trainers would have won without a doubt. I have lost count of the number of white trainers that I have hanged around. My husband literally despair of me every time I sneak a new pair, but a girl can’t have too many white trainers, right!?!
The thing is, I am now a bit the feeling that a girl cannot have too many colorful trainers, because there are just too much cute to choose from. Such as these incredible electric blue roads alpha shoes. I mean, come on, they are amazing.
Because of the transparency, you unfortunately cannot get this specific color in the Grand Court Alphas with the MO. The color is available in other styles and you can get Grand Court Alphas in different colors, so take a look. Although adidas regularly changes the colors in their trainer series to display the current trends, the color ranks they offer are enormous. If you have a search on the website and filter by color, you will find a trainer who fits your needs and personality
But back to the Grand Court Alphas …
I know that the three stripes are a huge giveaway when it comes to spotting an adidas trainer in the wild, but I can’t help these trainers in particular are even more adidas than the others. It is the thick, almost cartoon nature of those who make them unmistakably adidas.
The classic trainer who gives a stylish girl over the city and hits the Vibes shops. The cloudfoam -midsole cushions means that they are super comfortable, so if you are shopping all day, you can do that completely. And the super soft lining literally hugs your foot safely in place, while the rubber outsole is holding a spring in your step. This is a zone without blisters!
They are tight, sporty and effortlessly easy to style and as far as colorful adidas trainers go, these are above with the best.
Gazelle shoes
The first pair of adidas trainers I bought were a few black gazelles. I was 15. We are talking about, classic shoes from the 90s. I bought them from my mother’s catalog, when Catalog Shopping was one thing, and I spent the next 6 months paying episodes from my income as a paper girl. But it was worth it that way. I thought I was the coolest person who lived. You see, I was a teenager during the Oasis Blur Indie Pop Wars. Gazelle -Trainers were the Only shoes. If you had none of these, you were nobody. And I wanted to be someone … or at least fit in.
It is a will for both a brand and a design and a trainer still ride high in style liters, more than 50 years after it was first purchased on the market. And just like the handball greeches and probably most of the shoes from Adidas, the gazelles have evolved from a training shoe to an iconic must-have wardrobe accessory.
The timeless T-design (that is the bit at the front that looks like a t) consists of a suede upper with synthetic leather overlays and a rubber outsole, which has a honeycomb walking pattern to give a good traction under the foot.
I have checked back on the Adidas website and this Bordeauxrode pink color combination is currently not mentioned, but soooo many other color choices are available. I like to combine these with jeans with wide legs and a printed tee for a smart casual evening meal with friends or with my black -cut jumpsuit to go out for pub garden drinks.
Adidas Handball Spezial Children Shoes
My teenage daughter is being based on these handball -speaking trainers, because I can’t even start telling you when. So when I sent her a message (because that is totally how parents nowadays communicate with their teenagers, right? !!) to tell her that my adidas -gift voucher had arrived and that I was writing a message about colorful adidas trainers, she was literally out of her room and by my side before I even had a chance to notice the double blue taps!
The good news for me is that she almost still fits in the sizes of the children, which means more for our money. Yes, I know the gift voucher was free, but it’s about getting the most for your money, right?!?
In principle, these are the same as the adult handball players that I have chosen for myself, but a children’s version and she is gone for a slightly more subtle color choice of night indigo/orchid fusion/eraser (I have to love the names that adidas come up with for their colors!). These will go well with so many items in her very full wardrobe, which also makes me happy as a mother, because I know she will get a good wear.
Just like me, my daughter is all about comfort. She cannot stand out shoes that rub, must be worn, or who feel that they are limiting her feet. But clear as a stylish teenager, it also seems enormous. The retro design from the 70s combined with the grip rubber cupsole and soft suede upper means that it gets the best of two worlds. And believe me, if you succeed in meeting the high demands of a teenage girl, you will win in life!
Gazelle Indoor Shoes
Another thing my daughter loves is the color pink, especially the pale pastel -colored pink of these trainers, so these are almost the trainers of dreams for her. They are perfect for the summer and I have no doubt that they will go with us when we go on holiday in a few weeks.
I have to admit that it conjures up a smile on my face, knowing that she is the age I was when I got my first pair of Gazelles. Teenage me would be super impressed and she would undoubtedly be happy to see that her favorite shoes were still just as stylish as then.
So what makes the inner version different from the standard gazelles?
Well, the inner label refers to the fact that these trainers have a custom gum rubber sole. And what this means is that they can be worn on surfaces indoors such as wooden floors or slippery sports halls or floors without the risk of leaving SCuff Marks. It is also a softer, more flexible sole, so that every step offers a bounce and more muted feeling. I think it looks a bit like having the comfort of slippers, but with the appearance of a few cool trainers.
These include many of the same functions as the original gazelles, but with more comfort in mind. That makes them a really versatile choice of shoe for both indoor and outdoor use. Because yes, they are mentioned inner shoes, but they can also easily resist outside the other. Don’t forget to wipe your shoes before you enter the house!
Last thoughts
I know it may look like a big leap of safe, calm monochrome trainers to make daring to look at me, to distinguish from the colorful crowd. And I fully understand that there might be worries about how much you would wear them compared to white ‘go with everything’ trainers. But if you want to make an explanation this summer, colorful trainers are where it is!
It would surprise you how versatile colorful trainers can be. I am surprised at how often I wear mine and now see them as a central focus on my outfits. I am almost at the point to choose which trainer I wear that day and then base my outfit around it. It certainly makes life easier and also very colorful.
