No matter how you arrive, nothing goes beyond the stairs of the intestines of a metro tunnel directly in the buzz of the streets of New York City.
However, it is certainly not for everyone. For me, New York is one of my favorite places on the planet, but on the same sign Times Square is perhaps my least favorite place on earth.
The non -stop chaos of Manhattan drives many tourists to the other four districts, mainly Brooklyn, for more inviting neighborhoods and breathing space.

When you visit New York this summer, try to challenge yourself to go further than a picturesque walk through Central Park, wait hours in trendy Harlem restaurants, or just follow the same composite routes that repeated millions of times.
Easily accessible to the train 4 other cities with authentic Borough Vibes in New York Without the constant honking taxis, elbow to elbow sidewalks and WHO-Knows what stink in the metro.
Okay … that last part can still be there …
The point is that there is more than to meet the eye on the edge of the “Big Apple” and this summer you have to take a bite!
Greenwich, Connecticut

It is time to turn the script in a common forens city. Greenwich, Connecticut feels like an expansion of the best neighborhoods of New York City with much less crowds and not expensive restaurants in the chain.
Greenwich is a beautiful city by train from Manhattan, with elegant functions such as its luxury boutiques and high-end restaurants on Greenwich Avenue, essentially a mom & pop version of the famous 5th Avenue of New York.
You will find a clear neighborhood character as you would do in Brooklyn with rows of picturesque brick houses and lush parks, but absolutely no tourist vibes.

It is of course not to be denied that Pizza is one of the many claims of New York on fame, but Connecticut is perhaps still known for this global pleasure. Everything is the $ 1 sticky shops that claim to be pizza when it looks more like a combination of processed cheese and cardboard crust.
Although the world famous Sallies is in New Haven, you can still find real Connecticut Pizza in Greenwich at Grigg Street Pizzato see on Dinners, drive-ins and diving.
Yonkers, New York
The Bronx is the grimest districts of New York and often to sketch his tourists to venture than 149th Street, even if the entire district is practically a world tour through art and culinary masterpieces.

Yonkers is a great alternative, an hour of train removed with similar edgy vibes, but feels safer with a hospitable one, revitalized Waterfront, striking artistry and the historic Getty Square in the center.
If you want to feel the real wrist of New York and not what is depicted on Wall Street and Times Square, Yonkers is the place for you.
See firsthand the typical no-nonsense attitude, the resilience of various communities and historic neighborhoods, all of which exist here from the neongloed from Times Square. This is really New York.
But you can still find good food, traditional breweries and picturesque park walks along the Hudson, just like you would do between many hidden places in Manhattan.
Hoboken, New Jersey

The “Mile Square City” is a small town that embraces the Hudson River with a major view of the NYC skyline.
Hoboken is easy to reach and offers the fast journey, offers visitors lively streets, historical sights and a tangible atmosphere of small cities with facilities in the big cities.
It really feels like another side of New York, on the other side of the river, with beautiful brown stones and a range of classic eateries.
Plus, is there a little more New York than Frank Sinatra? Ol ‘Blue Eyes, as he was known, are considered the unofficial son of Hoboken, and you can take a picture with the Frank Sinatra statue in the Sinatra Park, which is rightly mentioned, wherever there is Free summer concerts.

Hoboken offers visitors a huge history, diverse culture and often cheaper prices than you will find in the “city that never sleeps”.
Jersey City, New Jersey
Of all 4 cities that we reveal here, Jersey City is the only called “Sixth Borough” by New York.
“JC”, as many locals call it, is a thriving suburb that feels like New York with amazing views of the water, epic food, fascinating history and a thriving art scene that the creative wrist of New York Mirror Mirror.
The city shines with lively murals and random art installations, so you might go full tilt as cute puppies that we all see on Tiktok.

And if you thought the official districts of New York were a melting pot of cultures and traditions, you didn’t go to Journal Square (aka India Square), one of the biggest surprising pleasures I had in all my travels; A district with an impressive concentration of authentic Indian restaurants and festive events.
You can also do the way I have in the past and use JC as a Maas in the NYC’s insane hotel rates. Book 4 stars for the sample size Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson This summer for only $ 166.
Good luck with that in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
