I am excited to start a series about essential oils with this super simple and useful recipe today!

I have been obsessed with trying recipes for skin care and homemade cleaning solutions for more than a year, and even alternatives to things such as hand disinfecting and room freshener. It has been very nice and my husband can testify to the many, many designs of recipes that I have experienced to achieve a well -performing home -made solution.

Anyway, this first is very nice! If you like to use face oils in your skin care, this recipe is for you!

Requirements needed:

Essential oils. I chose rose geranium, incense and lavender because they are great for the skin. Be specific:

Incense is known as the best oil to prevent the signs of aging in the skin. It reduces the production of free radicals and can be used to cure the skin. It has a very strong scent, which can be an acquired taste. I love it and always have at least one drop of mixed in my night treatment for extra benefits.

Lavender oil has antioxidant and anti -inflammatory properties. It is also famous for relieving stress and tension, so I added it to this mix (because I use this at night before bedtime).

Rose Geranium is a great skin care oil. It has the best scent (such as fresh roses). It can unclog pores, brighten up and tighten and minimize discoloration.

Carrier oils. I chose a mix of three. Mainly sweet almond oil because it is very light and I also added pinkhip and evening primrose oil because of their skin benefits. I chose sweet almond because it is very light and is a great basis. It can renew cells because of the vitamin E content. RoseHip oil is a wonder worker for pores. It has contracting properties, similar to a toner to tighten and clarify the skin. Evening Primrose Oil can help reduce redness and combat premature aging.

You also need a two -ounce dropper (I usually use amber bottles because it is good to block light on any recipe with essential oils), a (small) metal funnel and a measuring spoon.

Recipe:

10 drops of lavender oil, 15 drops of incense oil, 15 drops of pink geranium oil, 1 tablespoon in the evening Primrose -oil, 1 tablespoon of rose hip oil and cover the rest of the bottle of sweet almond oil.

A short comment about face oils: if you think you don’t like face oils, or if you avoid them because you have oily skin, join the club! So many women are terrified of the use of oil on their faces. I get it – I also used it to avoid it.

But more recently I learned that half of the skin care products I use already contains oil – Check the ingredients on your lotions and serums. You will probably be surprised.

Although face oil is not for everyone, I think it’s worth trying. I have experienced so many benefits. In addition to cleaning up my diet and drinking more water (which I am imperfect with), adding oils to my skin care have delivered the best results for my skin.

I enjoyed making this recipe for you !! I quickly come back to share my best recipes for essential oils. This skin oil is also great to fight a dry winter skin (you can see my winter care routine here!). If you have requests to try recipes that you want to try at home, I would like to hear them!
