How did you start in the beauty industry?
I grew up in Hong Kong and emigrated to New York City when I was 21 years old. I always have a passion for skin care because I had very bad skin when I grew up in Hong Kong. Then I decided to pursue a career in aesthetics. In 1984 I opened my first spa at the renowned intersection, 57one street and 5one Avenue in NYC. The following year I decided to start my own skin care line based on Asian beauty principles of the right peeling and hydration to balance your skin. In 1986 I opened my second location in Barney’s New York. After a year at Barney, I decided to open my stand-alone flagship location in Union Square, NYC.
What is your characteristic treatment?
Our energy lift facial treatment with body waterness is our new characteristic treatment. This treatment uses our energy lift technology using infrared rays (FIR) in the deep tissues of the skin to immediately stimulate elastin A collagen regeneration. FIR energy increases a healthy blood circulation to the face to purify impurities and stimulate lymph drainage, making the skin glowing and clearer. What is your favorite product from your collection and why?
My favorite new product is our sparkling make -over mask. This mask uses carboxy technology to pull huge amounts of oxygen to the surface of the skin. Do you have a beauty secret?
My anti-aging secret over the past 40 years is that I get a face every 28 days, because our skin runs through a cycle of shedding renewal. During this natural process, pores can get clogged with sebum and impurities, which can lead to the formation of whiteheads, with eaters and acne. Sturdy pores also reduces the effectiveness of skin care products by preventing vital nutrients from penetrating into the skin. It is therefore important to have a face once a month to thoroughly extract clogged pores for optimum skin health.

Do you have a favorite holiday destination?
