“The Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy caters to travelers seeking a blend of nature and comfort, and RESET Hotel embodies this balance perfectly,” says Diana Plazas-Trowbridge, Chief Lodging Product & Services Officer, U.S. & Canada, Marriott International.

RESET Hotel Joshua Tree National Park is situated in Twentynine Palms, just minutes away from the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. When it opened last July, it became the first new hotel in Twentynine Palms in over 15 years.

Not quite camping, but also not your typical hotel experience, RESET features 65 modular guest rooms designed like shipping containers within 180 acres of desert landscape.

The rooms boast a minimalist and contemporary design, incorporating natural colors and textures, with a seamless indoor/outdoor flow to fully appreciate the unique desert surroundings.

All rooms feature large glass doors opening onto private patios, some offering park views. Each patio includes a Solo Stove fire pit, daybed, and stargazing platform for enjoying the dark desert skies. Mountain King Suites even boast outdoor stone soaking tubs, ideal for stargazing.

Public areas at the hotel include communal fire pits, a saltwater pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and a cold plunge. There’s also an all-day restaurant, Split Rock Cafe and Bar, and a co-working space, though once you’re here, you may never want to open your laptop. Summer rates start at $208 or 53,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.

Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy

The Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy caters to travelers seeking a balance between nature and hotel amenities. This platform offers vacation ideas based on outdoor themes, not just destinations, allowing users to book stays and activities within the Marriott Bonvoy system.

Postcard Cabins and Trailborn Hotels were the initial brands in the collection. Postcard Cabins features 29 locations across the U.S., with rates starting at $150 or 27,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. Trailborn Hotels, described as boutique hotels in unique outdoor locations, span from North Carolina beaches to the Grand Canyon and beyond.

“RESET’s incredible access to Joshua Tree, thoughtful design, and immersive experiences perfectly align with our vision for the collection,” says Plazas-Trowbridge. “We’re excited to welcome it to the Marriott Bonvoy family.”
