Normally, only students with a valid lift pass are allowed to use the lift at New Design High School. But Priscavera broke all the rules and welcomed the fashion set to the Manhattan campus roof for the second time. That carefree, rebellious spirit is at the heart of the Prisca Vera Franchetti brand. On the same provocative note, this collection continued to push the boundaries with sheer dresses and plunging necklines that showed off everything just a few inches.
The messages went further than just breaking the rules. While “the entire collection was inspired by childhood memories,” Franchetti said, it was also about being an adult and having the freedom to dress however you want. Polished pieces that took the lineup to the next level included a tailored belted suit and a crisp long shirt dress. “It’s not about being conservative or not,” Franchetti said. “It’s more about finding the codes we want to reimagine and bringing them to maturity.”
For example, if someone says you can’t wear prismatic wide trousers with a loose top or a neon green jacket with a matching miniskirt, Priscavera’s masterclass has taught us that you certainly can. Take notes.
