Show the 2023 wedding client catalog will be presented during a workshop session at the Ibadan Fashion and Lifestyle Expo, the creative director of fast-growing Nigerian fashion brand Midetush Bespoke, Olumide Oyewunmi, spoke extensively about the art of bridal styling.
He named, “Wedding clothes ensure that a bride and groom can express themselves on their big day. From wedding dresses, suits, bridal and groom outfits and much more, finding the right clothes can be a difficult task.”
This is especially true for grooms who tend to take a backseat to their brides on their special day. Perhaps this stems from the general consensus that the wedding day is the day of the “bride.” But as men become more fashion-oriented and no longer afraid to compete with the girls for the fashion spotlight (ahem!) On that special day, the question that arises among future spouses is: how to choose suitable clothes. About this challenge, Oyewunmi says: Custom Midetush Wedding
“One of the most important factors taken into account when putting together a wedding perspective for the groom is having an idea of the location – a hall, a beach resort, a garden or a religious institution – and also putting together a wedding perspective on time of day; evening or during the day. No matter how subdued a wedding may be, showing respect for the sanctity of the union and the purpose of the celebration is of the utmost importance.”
Midetush Bespoke has dressed hundreds of wedding clients, both locally and internationally, and some of the brand’s creations have been featured in national publications, style magazines and lifestyle blogs. The brand offers a wide range of bridal wear, including two- and three-piece suits, safari suits, tuxedos, vests, dress shoes, ties, cummerbunds, boutonnieres, pocket squares and more.
Cultural pieces are also well represented in the brand’s collections, such as the traditional clothing of the Yoruba men from West Africa, popularly known as ‘Agbada’, made of hand-woven cloth, the Igbo men’s “Isi Agu” (similar to African Dashiki), among other tribal clothing. Midetush Bespoke aims to produce high-quality outfits for grooms for their special day, and continue to play a leading role in showcasing Nigeria’s vibrant fashion industry to the world.
