For the first time, the municipality of Tulum has been there nominated for the World Travel Awards, WTA 2023, confirming its global leadership in tourism. These awards are considered the “Oscars” of the tourism industry.
The municipality’s General Director of Tourism and Economy, Jorge Mario Molina Pérez, celebrated that the municipality has been nominated as the “Leading Beach Destination in the World” in the “Oscars” of the travel and tourism industry and not just the best in Mexico and Central America, where it has won five times.
Molina explained that this nomination puts Tulum on the world map. Travelers can vote until November 17 on the website www.worldtravelawards.com.
He also emphasized that the impetus and support of President Diego Castañon Trejo are changing the image of the destination and consolidating its prestige in modern tourism.
“Today all citizens can vote for Tulum!‘ he concluded.
