The benefits of hobbies
Some reasons why I want to find new hobbies next year:
- To play and relax – We need to find hobbies that won’t make us money and that will bore everyone, so that we do it for ourselves and not for the content. Isn’t it strange that it has become a prevalent part of the human experience today?
- To sharpen my mind – I have such a terrible memory now and might be on the way to early onset Alzheimer’s (it runs in the family, and it’s driving me crazy).
- For personal growth, enrichment, and emotional health – something I have to continually work on.
- For better physical health – we already climb, but we need some activities with cardio.
Other benefits include:
- Learn a useful skill
- Socialize and make new friends
- Earn extra money
Plus, with our blog, you might already know that we’re all about exploring our hometowns and bigger backyards. We believe that adventure starts with you by cultivating an adventurous spirit. Much of this you can do at home, and how much more can you get locally?
“Find three hobbies that you love: one to make money, one to stay fit, and one that allows you to be creative.” If there were a fourth, we would add one to make the world a better place.
Which of these would you like to do next year?
