P
rogress broadcasts itself through various channels. No matter how mundane we make it seem, changing your style is a way to embrace change and improve our game. But what happens when good gets better and better turns into best? Then you realize that there is always room for improvement. This shows the lifestyle and achievements of Lagos celebrities. When you think you’ve got them figured out, they say, “Wait a minute, wait a minute…” And then they start dancing in impressive ensembles. The colors come out a little differently, the cuts match each other a little better and the self-confidence radiates much stronger, especially this new year.
Check out the Naija celeb and influencer’s looks recently spotted on Lagos stars…
#1. Ankara pure
Nimi Nwofor wore an Ankara print dress from Ren Boss Clothing that was in no way modest. The print is combined with transparent fabric and twisted into a knot on the shoulder for the right flair. She completed the look with an Ankara headscarf, glamorous jewelry, a pink bag and matching shoes.
#2. Gray areas
Actress Efe Irele It was a sporty pleasure to parade through the streets of Paris in an all-grey look. She wore a button-down shirt, rolled up into a crop top, paired with high-waisted breezy pants and threw on a striped jacket for good measure. She completed the look with practical sneakers and rectangular sunglasses. No pain no gain does not apply to this chic ensemble.
#3. Black curtains
Toke Makinwa was her usual pretty self, serenading Instagram in a sheer black dress paired with embellished heels. The waist area was beautifully draped, with the excess fabric falling to the floor. A sleek black dress with minimal sparkly accessories is a look you can wear all year round.
#4. Midi spaghetti
Mo Abudu constantly reminds us to go to the gym, treat our skin well and eat healthy meals, thanks to its ability to reverse aging. The media mogul posted a clip from her photoshoot in Cape Town, wearing a midi number with spaghetti straps. The dress featured bow detailing on the sheer texture and a statement red bow at the bust, as a fitting icing on the cake. She styled this look with nude Louboutin pumps and bouncy side-parted hair.
#5. Afro-clectic
Boubous has always been timeless in Africa. The aunts and moms have put on this comfortable dress, and now the Gen Zers are optimistic. The beautiful Temi Otedola did justice to this trend with a patchwork boubou styled with a pair of cool ugly shoes during her stay in Ghana. A sizzling pot of Ghana Jollof has never looked so attractive.
#6. Pleated textures
Naija celeb and influencer fashion is a truly versatile dish. Sometimes it can be a burst of extravagance, and sometimes a gentle offering with the utmost charm. Style girl Ezinne Akudo took the latter route in an off-the-shoulder dress styled with white Valentino pumps and a black top-handle bag. This simple outfit works for a Sunday church service or seminar.
#7. High-low dresses
Every time we need inspiring fashion shots of Naija celebrities and influencers, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi never delivers. She recently rocked a black and yellow high-low dress with a touch of gold sequins. She paired the vibe with gold heels and manis because elegance is the only way to do that.
