Curling your eyelashes is the most effective beauty trick in the book. It immediately gives the eyes an awake look, even if you do not cover the eyelashes with layers of black, brown, blue or other pigment. Here are the steps you need to follow exactly for optimal results.
How to curl your eyelashes correctly:
- Most importantly, always use the eyelash curler before applying mascara. Never again: You risk your lashes sticking to the curler, potentially tearing or pulling them out.
- Lower your head slightly back and place the eyelash curler as close to the root of your upper lashes as possible. The closer you get to the base, the more natural the curl will look: press gently (don’t grab like you’ll never let go!) and hold for five seconds.
- Continue the curve by repeating step two in the center of the lashes.
- Apply your favorite mascara and avoid overloading the roots, which will make the lashes heavier and prevent them from holding the curl.
- Don’t forget: Just like your makeup brushes, your eyelash curler also needs to be cleaned.
