The Samet Nangshe Viewpoint

There were already quite a few people at the viewpoint during our visit. But because the area is large, it spreads out well and gradually you can take advantage of all the photo opportunities available on site. From small platforms to Samet Nangshe signs or even hearts you can sit inside – there are plenty of options for a popular Instagram photo.

You can also relax on the available seats and enjoy the beautiful view, instead of just walking around and taking pictures. There is no time limit. The pick-up trucks leave every few minutes to go back down. Since you probably won’t come here very often in your life, take the time to enjoy the fantastic view of Samet Nangshe over the Andaman Sea in Phang Nga Bay and the limestone cliffs. It’s definitely one of those most beautiful viewpoints that we visited in Thailand.

The environment at the viewpoint

Apart from the view from the Samet Nangshe view point– there isn’t much to do on the hill. On site you will find a number of small, very simple bungalows that you can rent. There is even a small terrace where you can enjoy the view. In this way you are more or less alone at the viewpoint early in the morning and late at night.

Furthermore, there is the Samet Nangshe restaurant and also a small cafe that you can visit. Food and drinks are also provided. We do recommend that you have enough water with you, especially when you walk to the viewpoint. The heat in Thailand and the physical exertion should not be underestimated.
