Is there ever a season that beaches are not paramount in our mind? Negative.
That is certainly one of the many reasons that I sold to me when I moved from Austin to San Diego and picks up a reverse “California Exodus”.

But we are not here to talk about the west coast. Today we go east to a charming hiding place among many in the Medley of coastal facades in New England.
Airbnb Just revealed the ‘Top 10 Trending Beach destinations’ with a few huge surprises, and some really grab straws by calling themselves ‘beachy’ (Ahem, Big Bear).
At Travel Off Path we are just as attracted to sun and sand as you. In this case we come in fully in accordance with the revelation of Airbnb that the Rhode Island paradise is the new holiday hotspot of the east coast.
Discover an island within an ‘island’ that is not really an island


Have you ever wondered why many foreigners Side-Eye us Americans? It is not only our unpleasant political climate-it is the fact that we are flagrant liars!
Call it false advertisements if you want – Rhode Island is not really an island, but you let it glide as soon as you visit the real island of America, Block Island.
That is many “islands” for one sentence, but hey I am an island boy who just tries to save …
This lesser -known hiding place has become the trendy beach discharge of the east coast, in particular the only official city of the island, New ShorehamSeeing no less than 160% rise on the popular Airbnb platform.


With a typical lighthouse, common observations of the Waterleven, quiet coasts and of course a variety of new parties of the “catch of the day” combined with local brews.
It doesn’t matter if you end the summer with a last-minute vacation or want to kick off autumn with an idyllic weekend away, Block Island is a great option.
From now to September, the temperatures in the 70s and October fluctuate a drop-off with highlights of 62, which ensures many delicious beach days until it is time to pack a jacket.
Even then Airbnb claims that Block Island ‘buzzes with summer energy’ during the low season.
17 miles of beautiful public beaches


Let’s face it – certain vacation spots in New England do not rays out exactly a coming, all are warm welcome, and that is why Block Island provides a great alternative for those places.
The 17 -mile home base of public beaches, you don’t have to be a card -being a member of an exclusive club and sip cocktails with your little finger in the wind to feel at home immediately.

It is undoubtedly the top stay of Block Island, and to be honest, an emmer list item for every New Englander.


The coast here is varied, and each specific beach offers a unique flair because some are more or less busy, rocky and cliff than others, although many are isolated and seem untouched.

How to get here


You may have bold to guess that Block Island is not difficult to reach, is in the smallest state of America – and you would be right.
A popular way to get here is to jump on board Block Island Ferry Departure from Point Judith and cars are allowed if you prefer to drive through the city.
There is also a seasonal service that departs from Newport, demonstrably the most popular coastal city of Rhode Island, covered with amazing mansions and a wonderful headstrip.
Providence is the only commercial airport in the state, although many travelers choose to fly to Boston, close by, for more flight options.
